Finishing up our 144th and looking forward to our 145th year!

The Canandaigua Botanical Society was founded in 1874, dedicated to advancing the knowledge and enjoyment of all plants growing in the Finger Lakes Region and beyond.  Our 145th year is in the planning stages and we are asking you for your input and involvement.

Finger Lakes Community College is pleased to open Muller Field Station free to the public with fun wildlife activities for all ages.  There will likely be FLCC student guided nature hikes and invasive species education.  
Directions: Travel west on US-20.  Turn left onto US 20A to West Lake Road in Honeoye. Turn left onto West Lake Road/CR 36.  Muller Field Station will be on your left near the south end of Honeoye Lake.

MARTY DODGE'S DAFFODIL DELIGHT

DUE TO OVERWHELMING INTEREST FROM FACEBOOK POSTINGS, 
WE ASK THAT YOU CARPOOL TO THIS EVENT.  
You may need to park along Jones Road and walk up the hill to Marty's property at the end of Jones Road.  

Marty Dodge has graciously invited us back to his property to delight in the 20,000 daffodils he has planted over the past decade.  We may also enjoy a moderate walk along a trail system through managed oak forests to a phenomenal overlook of Canandaigua Lake.
We will be registering new members at this event.  
Membership is $7/individual and $10/family.

NATIONAL ARBOR DAY TREE PLANTING
Telyea Park

The City of Canandaigua is a Tree City USA.  Each year a tree is planted with an explanation of proper tree care.  The Mayor will read a proclamation and there will be free posters and goodies from the Arbor Day Foundation.  The location of the Arbor Day tree planting will be at Telyea Park, off of South Pearl Street between Chapin and Bristol Streets.

ANNUAL POTLUCK DINNER AND ARBOR DAY FOUNDATION TREE CITY USA PRESENTATION
Saint John’s Episcopal Church, 183 N Main St.

Meet at Saint John’s Episcopal Church, 183 North Main Street, Canandaigua (enter through St. John’s Court off Howell Street).  Bring a dish to pass and place setting for yourself and any friends you invite along.  Dinner begins at 6 pm. At 7 pm we will learn about Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree City USA. Bring cash or check to pay your annual dues ($7 individual / $10 family).
