Lagoon Park Kiosk

Thanks to Patrick McFadden of Seneca Waterways Council Boy Scout Troop 32 we now have an information kiosk just south of the eastern bridge at the Lagoon Park.  Patrick has constructed and installed the kiosk as part of his Eagle Scout project.  Bill Bross took several photos of the kiosk installation on June 20th and Laura took photos on June 21st when the roof was positioned.
Patrick's uncle came with an auger
testing the depth of the hole

Lagoon Park Kiosk Dedication
Lakeshore Drive, Canandaigua

Jim Engel initiated the restoration of Lagoon Park several years ago and has worked with the support of Canandaigua Botanical Society to greatly reduce the amount of European Buckthorn and other invasive species there. Join us as we dedicate Eagle Scout Patrick McFadden's information kiosk (by the bridge closest to Carousel Lane and east of the gazebo entrance).  Afterwards we hope to enjoy walks around the park to appreciate the reasoning for the restoration project or perhaps to learn about the habitat at Lagoon Park and the creatures it supports.  Representatives from the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association, FLCC, and the City of Canandaigua may also be present to share how they've supported the restoration project.
