Planning for our 148th year....

Although we've been quite quiet during the covid pandemic, this coming year we are hopeful to be more active towards our Canandaigua Botanical Society mission: Dedicated to advancing knowledge & enjoyment of plants found in the Finger Lakes Region since 1874.

What are ways you can be involved???

Planning for our 148th year: let us know if you are interested in meeting together in January by dropping an email to canandaiguabotanical@gmail.com

Consider being a Canandaigua Botanical Society historian.  We can provide you access to many of our Canandaigua Botanical Society archives at the Ontario County Historical Society to help prepare for our 150th celebration!

HURLEY WOODS TOUR

Thanks to Joe and Ginny Hurley for inviting us to their property on Benson Road on September 18, 2021.  There was a crowd of about thirty from Burroughs Audubon Nature Club and Canandaigua Botanical Society to learn about the arboretum Joe has established.  We also thank DEC forestry consultant, Brice June for his insights.
