Ganargua Creek Meadow Preserve

Join Carol and David Southby of Rochester Butterfly Club to enjoy this butterfly hotspot and lovely wildflower meadow. Bring water bottle, binoculars and optional picnic lunch. Long pants and suitable footwear recommended, as there is poison ivy on the trails.

Lagoon Park Kiosk Dedication

Saturday, August 8, 2015    10:00 AM
Lagoon Park Kiosk Dedication
Lakeshore Drive, Canandaigua

Jim Engel initiated the restoration of Lagoon Park several years ago and has worked with the support of Canandaigua Botanical Society to greatly reduce the amount of European Buckthorn and other invasive species there. Join us as we dedicate Eagle Scout Patrick McFadden's information kiosk (by the bridge closest to Carousel Lane and east of the gazebo entrance).  Afterwards we hope to enjoy walks around the park to appreciate the reasoning for the restoration project or perhaps to learn about the habitat at Lagoon Park and the creatures it supports.  Representatives from the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association, FLCC, and the City of Canandaigua may also be present to share how they've supported the restoration project.
