Annual Potluck Dinner and GARDEN PATH-OLOGY Program
We are working to put together the 2010-2011 program that will be available at the annual potluck dinner and presentation on Friday, April 16th beginning at 6pm. The potluck dinner will be held at Saint John's Episcopal Church, 183 North Main Street, Canandaigua. We will meet downstairs in the Parish Hall. Use the rear entrance on Saint John's Court off Howell Street. (Same location as the Gleaner's Kitchen.)
The evening's program will be GARDEN PATH-OLOGY by Rochelle Smith, a Horticulture Instructor at FLCC. Garden Path-Ology is a fun look at the influence a path has on the landscaped environment. The talk explores how the purpose of the path, the materials selected to make it, and the plants around it influence both the design and the impression or "feel" of the landscaped space. Many visual examples of typical and unusual paths and an international variety of garden examples provide the backdrop for this talk.
Bring a dish to pass and your own place setting and a guest or two if you wish. Bring cash or your checkbook to pay your annual dues ($6) and receive the 2010-2011 Botanical Society Program. The Garden Path-Ology program will begin at 7pm. Following the program we will have a business meeting and all are welcome.
