Channing H. Philbrick Park Hike

Saturday, July 20, 2019; 10 AM
CHANNING H. PHILBRICK PARK HIKE
1 Linear Park Drive, Penfield, NY

Our beloved Plant Man, Bruce Gilman, will lead us through Channing H. Philbrick Park located off Rt. 441, just west of the intersection of Five Mile Line Rd. and Rt. 441 in Penfield, NY. As Irondequoit Creek passes through Channing H. Philbrick Park it drops 90 feet over one mile creating a fast-flowing creek, waterfalls, cascades, and rapids.

Directions: Travel north to 490 west to exit 23.  Take a right onto NY-441 E for 2.3 miles and turn right onto Linear Park Drive.

It was a rather WARM morning as Bruce, Karen, and Laura enjoyed a couple of hours in the shaded paths along the Irondequoit Creek.
