Are you looking for a new trail to wander in search of forest and meadow wildflowers? Joe and Chris Hurley, owners and operators of Kettle Ridge Farm in Victor, have developed a trail on their recently acquired property in Perinton, which passes through mixed deciduous woods, follows a creek lined with wildflowers, and passes through a field packed with summer meadow flowers. They call the 30-acre property they acquired in 2021, “Backwoods,” and have spent the past four years clearing brush, removing dead ash trees, and cutting trails through tangles of invasive plants to create a natural playground. The trails are now open to the public to enjoy from dawn to dusk.

A naturally constructed play area features our infamous sand hill and slide. The property also includes a 2-mile mountain biking trail and a separate hiking trail that connects to the 35 miles of Crescent Trail.
