Finger Lakes PRISM Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Volunteer Survey

Winter weather means the return of one of our tiniest and most destructive invasive species: the hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA). HWA is threatening eastern hemlocks, one of the most important tree species in the Finger Lakes. You can help us combat it! Finger Lakes PRISM has a variety of events planned through the end of March giving you several opportunities to participate.  Check the link for a full listing of volunteer training dates including February 5 via zoom, February 18 at the Canandaigua Town Hall and March 8 at Cumming Nature Center.
