Join us at Sonnenberg PARK (not Gardens) on Monday, April 8, 2024 to watch the solar eclipse. Totality occurs around 3:20 PM.
We will meet at the east side of the park along the Charlotte Street London Plane trees. Look for our blue canopy after 2 PM. Sonnenberg Park is between Howell Street, Charlotte Street and Circle Drive. You may wish to bring: lawn chairs or blankets to sit on, snacks and water. There is a parking lot off Howell Street on the west side of Sonnenberg Park near the pickleball courts. Street parking is on Howell Street or Charlotte Street (but be sure not to park on the tree lawn / right of way).
You will need Solar Eclipse Safety glasses. Wood Library is handing out eclipse glasses (2 per family) until they run out. We have two remaining pairs of free solar eclipse safety glasses. Please send an email to
