Melissa Virag

Melissa Virag served as our Canandaigua Botanical Society president since 2016.  She had a great desire to organize and prepare all of the Canandaigua Botanical Society literature for the Ontario County Historical Society and had made several connections between the early Botanical members and Frederick Ferris Thompson of Sonnenberg. Melissa died on December 3, 2017 after valiantly fighting cancer.  Her talents and cheerful disposition are dearly missed.

There will be a service on Monday, December 18, 2018 at Saint Mary's Church in Canandaigua at 11:00 AM.
