Finger Lakes Community College room C220.

Jim Engel, landscaper and native plant expert, will explain how to integrate native plants into your own backyard. Most of our woodlands were once used for farming and later abandoned. When farm fields reverted to woodland, what developed was a forest with canopy trees and little else. Most of the understory species, woodland wildflower, are missing. Learn how to control invasive species and re-establish native plant communities by collecting and planting native seed of native plants. Jim has been in the business of propagating and growing more than 80 species of native shade trees and native flowering shrubs since 1995.
