UPCOMING EVENT

Please join us on Saturday, June 6, 2009 for our

LAGOON PARK WALK - Focus on Butterfly Habitats.

Time: 10 am --- Meet at Steamboat Landing parking lot.

The Lagoon Park is on Lakeshore Drive across from Steamboat Landing Restaurant and circles around to Wegmans' backyard.

We are returning to Lagoon Park this year because we had such an easy and interesting walk there last year and because we want to search specifically for caterpillar and butterfly host plants. (Thanks to Jane Lamboy's recent Botanical Butterfly talk at FLCC.) With many native plants and trees, we think the Lagoon offers an ideal habitat for caterpillars and butterflies - we'll see what we can find.

Our leader for this walk, Bob Guthrie, is a naturalist who has been active for many years in the informal teaching of flora and fauna. He is a member of our Botanical Society and the Eaton Birding Society.
