Durand Eastman Park – History and Highlights and an Open House
Sunday, September 13, 2026, 2:00 PM  to 4:30 PM
Talk at the BANC Sanctuary Clubhouse
301 Railroad Mills Road, Pittsford, New York, 14534 (map)

Durand Eastman Park expert Bob Beabout will guide us through the history of the 977-acre park. How it came to be, the main people who were responsible, the changes over its 116-year history, and the current geological and horticultural highlights.

Bob will begin his presentation at about 2:00. Following his program, participants can peruse our library, sit on the porch to look for birds at our feeder, spot butterflies visiting our butterfly garden, and walk along our beautiful nature trails. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome!

This is a talk at the Sanctuary. There will be a tour of the park on October 10. Details to come later.
