Beneficial Insect Habitat Open House

Cornell AgriTech Vegetable Research Farm, Geneva, NY

Location: Cornell AgriTech Vegetable Research Farm, Geneva, NY

For the past six years, NYSIPM has been cultivating perennial grasses and wildflowers that feed and attract beneficial insects. Our annual Open House is the perfect opportunity to gain insight into creating your own habitat, learn about the successes and setbacks we’ve encountered along the way and find out what types of insects are “beneficial” to your outdoor space.

This year’s program will also include a special focus on the seeds that were used in the establishment of our habitat, with guided explorations by Petra Page-Mann from Fruition Seeds in Naples, NY. Explorations begin at 3:45, 4:45 and 5:45.
This event is free and open to the public.
