Tech Savvy Lagoon Park Walk
Saturday, September 22, 2018; 10 AM
Lakeshore Drive, Canandaigua
Join us as we enjoy a walk through the Lagoon Park sharing our favorite Tech Savvy skills. We are looking forward to sharing how to make the best out of available nature apps and photo capabilities in this 34 acre wildlife preserve overlooking the Canandaigua Outlet. Whether you use apps all the time or are just getting started (or prefer to rely on paper field guides) we can certainly learn from one another. We will meet first at the gazebo
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2 PM:
Thanks to the group that met this morning. Although few in number and without known or practiced apps we did indeed learn from one another.
Laura mentioned that she often uses Google Images to search for species identifications... In attempt to identify this plant she loaded it into Google Images (go to google images and drop image into search bar) the "best guess of red ginger" came back. It is indeed not red ginger but Smart weed or Knot weed (which Laura found in the Reader's Digest North American Wildlife Illustrated Guide book).
Here are a few other pictures from our morning:
