The UNTOLD STORY OF FREDERICK FERRIS THOMPSON

10 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2017
at Sonnenberg Gardens, Canandaigua

We will meet at the Admissions Gate inside Sonnenberg Gardens, 151 Charlotte Street at 10:00 AM.

Barb Stahl will take us on a unique tour of Sonnenberg focusing on Frederick Ferris Thompson and his diaries which tell of his fervent interest in nature.  We hope that this event will seed future research into the connections between Frederick’s later years and the earliest years of the Canandaigua Botanical Society.  Perhaps you will be interested in ongoing studies of past histories to build a supportive relationship between Sonnenberg and The Canandaigua Botanical Society into the future. Feel free to bring walking sticks and portable stools for navigating through the greenhouses and Sonnenberg property.

Canandaigua Botanical Events are free and open to the public.  Membership offers you a printed program of events, membership roster, and useful information toward our goal of advancing the knowledge and enjoyment of all plants growing in the Finger Lakes Region and beyond.
