The Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association is sponsoring a workshop on
Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, killer of hemlocks that is moving into
this area, on Saturday December 5 at the Naples Village Hall on Main St., Naples (Rte.21) from 10 am until noon. The principal speaker will be Mark Whitmore from Cornell.
Gullies at the south end of Canandaigua Lake are stabilized by hemlocks, and it would be a tragedy to lose them.
Members of the Botanical Society should consider attending and pass the word.
