The City of Canandaigua celebrated its 23rd year as a Tree City USA with the planting of a Sweet Gum (liguidambar-styraciflua) tree on Claman Place on Friday, April 24, 2015. Mayor Polimeni read the National Arbor Day Proclamation. City Arborist, Stephanie Crim, shared that there will be about 75 new trees planted on city property this year.
